II. WINDMILL WEEKEND
Pat Lariviere advised that she has received confirmation that we have a spot but we do not yet know where the placement of that spot will be. The space will have a frontage of 15’.
Pat advised that the time is 10AM to 4PM on both Saturday and Sunday. Most people set up their tents on Friday night and leave them up through Sunday. We will have to watch the weather and if windy, we should not leave the tents up unattended.
After a discussion of the pros and cons of our own tent versus joining the Eastham Forum’s tent and using space of about 6’ by 2.5’, all agreed that we would use our own tent. Jane Crowley advised that we do not have a tent, but could either rent or buy one. John Knight stated that 10’ by 10’ tents can be purchased at Ocean State Job Lot for about $130. Jane will handle the purchase of the tent, Susan Barker, Dr. James Taylor and Dr. Lois Roth-Johnson will handle the set up and take down of the tent.
We also have to supply our own tables and chairs and all agreed that we would need 4 tables, 5’ long each and 8 chairs. Susan will arrange to get those to the green from the Town Hall on Saturday morning.
On Sunday, September 11, 2011, the parade will take place from 1 to about 3. During this time, the booths will have little to no action for about the hour that the parade passes in front of the green.

· Jane also attended a meeting with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) along with Neil Andres and Gail McAleer. The EPA advised that there would be no discharge into Town Cove. George Price, VP, National Seashore spoke at the meeting and he had also attended the meeting with Rep. Keating.
IV. OTHER BUSINESS/CORRESPONDENCE
Lois provided feedback on the minutes sent by email to all. Laurie will make the edits needed and put copies in the packets so that they can be reviewed for signoff at the August 25, 2011 meeting.
Dr. Taylor asked all for ideas for public statement at next meeting. All agreed that we should promote Windmill Weekend.
Jane advised that based on her conversation with the Fire Department regarding Blood Pressure readings, if we get a high reading, we should suggest to the person that they have it taken again at the Fire Department which is a controlled center.
Charles advised that he attended the Orleans Freshwater Ponds meeting and they presented a spreadsheet of all testing results taken on the ponds. They are now doing the same for salt water testing. It was good information to see the trending.
Next workshop date – None was set at this time.
